I realized that true leadership began with being compassionate to your people. Trying too hard to make them like you would sometimes just result in appalling failures rather than success. This is partly because of the fact that it is impossible to please everyone. It is impossible to know what your people want and even then, different people have different wants and it is impossible to cater every single desire. As such, it is only possible for a leader to do things based on the love he has for his people and not what will make them love him. In many ways this is a problem of doing what is best for the people rather than doing what they want I guess hahaa. In short, Don't please them. Love them.
